Burma Soldiers Tried To Rape A Zomi Girl On Climax Night of CCJ

A Zomi young girl was assaulted and tried to rape by three soldiers on the closing ceremony night of Cope Centennial Jubilee which was celebrated on 28^th of November, 2010, at Tedim, Chin State. The case was happened about 9:30 pm as follows.

A 20 years old girl, daughter of Pa Kam Go, lives in Lawi Bual Ward, Tedim, Chin State and her boyfriend who lives in Kalaymyo were dating at the Zo Leng The, Clock Tower’ side, Myoma Ward, Tedim. Unfortunately, the couple were met by the three soldiers from LIB  No 269 military camp who are based in Sakollam, Ward, Tedim, who were supposed to patrol around the town. The soldiers asked the couple to give  30,000 kyats to them.

When young couple rejected their extortion, two of them soldiers assaulted the boy violently while the left one tried to rape the young girl. Then fighting broken out. The young couple ran by motor bike to the place where the celebration took place and loudly cried out for help. When the celebration attending mass heard their voice, many people went out to the road and saved the couple. Pa Thang Khan Dal and Pa Langh Pau  lead the people and arrested  the three soldiers. But Pa Hang Khan Khai @ E Khai who is Organizer of Union Solidarity and Development Party, Tedim Office, and ran for state parliament, but left behind Pu Zam Cin Pau of President, Chin National Party (Zam Cin Pau got 6292 votes and Hang Khan Khai got 5396 votes), treat the angry people to be calm down and not to sue the soldiers because the bike used does not have a valid license.

So, He lied for the free of three soldiers that the without license owner have to be arrested and police have no power to arrested soldiers in order to the law. But Pa Thang Khan Dal and Pa Langh Pau have showed their disagreement about Pa Hang Khan Khai’s manner. Then Tedim police freed the soldiers and the LIB 269 Military Officer gave 150,000 Kyats to a young lady as compensation. But The whole people in Tedim blamed on E Khai who is pro-military, lest patriotic spirit  and ignorant to the poor couple who suffered human right violation for the freedom of terrorist soldiers.
